2009, 8th grade Girls Basketball

I am so glad that basketball is over. Some of the girls on the team annoy me so much. I thought we would have a really bad season like we always do, but for some reason we got 2nd place in our conference, I'm pretty sure it was because we had Phalen Cochran #32, a post (forward).... She can pretty much box-out anyone on the court. And if Felgar lets us play "bump" or "poison" at the end of practice- Phalen always wins, I think its because if I get her out, I end up getting tackled on the court. Another good player is Lillianna Stelling #2, a guard. Lilly said that she hasn't played before, but everybody on the team thinks that's not true- shes better than some people on the team who've played last year, she is also really good at her free-throws! Ellie Greene #24, a post or guard, is also really good and fast. Ellie never gets tired, and is really good at 3 pt. "bump". There is also Lindsey Grimm #5, a guard. She is cool because she hates Felgar- this year she hated Felgar so much that she was going to quit, but nobody on the team would let her. Lindsey is really good at dribbling. There are lots of other good people on the team, but I don't have time to wright things about 13 players. Great job this year Lady Cougars!!!!! 2nd place is awesome!!!!!

What attracted you to this project?
Watching the show in class.
What hobbies and interests do you have?
Playing sports, and playing outside with my family.
What image do you have of pioneer living?
I think it would be a really good experience.
What's the most challenging thing you and your family (or group) have experienced?
Driving a day and a half to Disneyland, California; with my family of seven.
If you were chosen what do you think you would most miss about modern life?
Tv, and playing sports.
What qualities do you and your family have that make you suited to this experience?
We can work together really good if we try.
What skills do you have that may help you?
I help my dad allot outside, so I know how to do outside work.
What would you hope to get out of the experience?
Living with out all the stuff we have here in 2009
What do you think will be the most difficult challenge of pioneer life?
Milking the cows, and surviving winter.
What skills would you like to learn from the experience?
How to cook using a 1883 stove.
What interests you about this project?
Being able to spend more time with my family.
Do you have any concerns about your participation?
That my brothers and sisters would never want to do this.
How much do you know about your family history -- do you have pioneer roots?
I don't know anything about my family history.
How did you hear about Frontier House?
At school.

Hannah Montana (as a robot)

This robot is an inpersonator of Hannah Montana. She is pretty tall.
She is a robot so her body is made out of metal. The body is rectangular,
with two half circles going into the waist, (she is wearing a dress that is red). The neck is like a triangle. Her head is circular and is made out of metal. Her hair is blond with brown high-lights. The eyes are like little pink flowers. Her nose is like a little orange carrot. The mouth is like a green piece of lettuce. Her arms are long, skinny, (and made of metal). The hands are like claws. Her legs are kinda short, really skinny and are metal. She does not wear shoes, but has green webbed feet like a frog. Hannah Montana is now singing in concert!!!
